Darco Chewing Gum Remover is designed to get rid of stubborn chewing gum from sidewalks and other surfaces. It can also be used to remove oil, grease, asphalt, and other oil-related spot stains.

Made with naturally occurring plant essential oils fortified with emulsifiers to facilitate water rinsability, this product is environmentally-friendly and biodegradable.

Preconditions

  • Surface must be completely dry - free of any moisture and water

  • Product requires at least 20-30 minutes of contact

  • High pressure washer with about 2000 PSI required (hot water preferred, but not necessary)

  • In certain areas, the procedure may need to be repeated

Procedure

On a clear dry day with no rain forecasted for at least the next 4 hours:

  • Pre-spot the gum by pouring the product on top (do not spread or rub)

  • Allow the product to remain for at least 20 minutes

    • If conditions permit, overnight soaking will make the job easy, but not essential

  • Using high pressure water, blast the gum off

    • Keep the nozzle as close as possible to the spot to facilitate uplifting of the gum

  • Continue to remove all spots, then perform a general wash of the whole area

  • To avoid black spots, repeat the same procedure

  • If some gum remains embedded in the concrete, repeat the process once the surface is completely dry again
